Scary Story : Goel Ganga Group
This is a May 2006 story (I believe).

I just wanted you and your friends to know about experience of 60+ of us (mostly IT people) with Goel Ganga builders. They are so to say prestigious builders but they have cheated all of us and here is the story in short.
Most of us booked around 6-8 months back at the sqft rate of 1250 - 1400 /sq Feet in their Akashganga Project at Wakad. They started the building work - though a little behind schedule - but work is on. However, now as prices in Wakad area have gone up in last 6 months and now running around Rs2000/sq feet, they have become greedy and asking all of us to cancel booking giving various reasons. Those who have done registration also are being asked to cancel it. Either they are giving the reason that the plan is not sanctioned (it is not sanctioned for 5-6-7the floor, but till 4th flr it is) and it may not get sanctioned so you cancel. For those have bought in 1-2-3-4th floor they are asking them to pay full payment in next 2 weeks or cancel (and work is not even reached beyond basement - parking area and no bank is willing to disburse full loan amount). This is their trap to kick people out. At this time if any of these 60 people have to go out and book some where else they have lost the price advantage and some of them may not be even be able to afford the bank loan because of higher amount and hence won't get house of their choice. And all this because of Greed of these builder.
We all who have booked there are trying our best to see if they do not cheat us. But I thought all others must know about this so they do not get trapped in the Goel Ganga projects. They recently had balcony falling incident and instead of trying to keep their reputation they are shamelessly again not treating people well (Their Director told us that. We are not worried about reputation.. people bought even after the balcony incident)

Goel Ganga is really a cheat company. The vertica building in Bangalore is going nowhere, they have almost have 20lacs of my money.
If you have self respect and value to your money dont even think about this B**** builder, very bad towards the commitment, whatever they are showing in sample flat u wont get that in reallity, very poor construction quality, they are maintining construction quality only at their san mahu office to attact the customers, once you trap in their net it wont be so easy to come out of that. You wont get your booking amount easily suerly you will reach your frustration level and thats what they want, staff at San mahu complex pune is very arrogant they dont have communication sense or ettiqets. Managemnt should provide communication training to the staff. Boss is always on abroad tour for foreign projects "first handle domestic project properly then look into abroad projects". Guys be aware of this big fraud builder who open bookings without any project approval from the municiple corporation and later on change the plan without considering customers requirment.
